I talked to you about this place before, as you know I was looking at buying one there.

The reason I did not was because the rent you could get for the slip did not warrant the cost of the slip. On the flip side, the so called value, was the quick appreciation. In my marina, we have slow and steady appreciation and the rent you get reperesents a 5% intrest in your investment (cost of the slip).

My 25k could buy me a slip for the size I need, now if you want to partner with me to buy a house on the water .... that is something I may be into... If I move my office int the home we will have some built in rent roll.

50k for that slip is crazy..... it is worth no more than 35k and that is no great deal IMHO

I agree the slips way overpriced ... but there not coming down... sO i figured it would help me and help u....

Getting back to the original topic. While I have secured my slip again for next summer, I also would be interested in hearing about any Anchorage slips that come up for sale that can accomodate a 14'2" beam.

If anyone hears of anything, please keep me in mind.

If your serious, you should call the office and speak with Joelle and get on the list. They sell fairly quickly unless the seller thinks he has gold. If I hear of anything I will let you and Rob know.

I just spoke to Joelle and put my name on the wish list.

For anyone interested, she just had a 15'+ rental open up which she says is rare.
 
She put my name on the purchase list but there is a rental that just came open.
 
I will give you my slip for free.....as long as you purchase my boat for $175K!

That's buy a boat and get a free slip....I will even throw in a jetski!
 
Gee Dave, thanks for the offer but I like being a one boat owner.

Honestly, we are all over the lot. We've talked about waterfront property, buying a slip and buying a condo in FL to take advantage of the poor market down there. That seems to have the most traction. Right now, I have a summer contract for 2008 but with new ownership, I don't know what direction the place will take and if something resonable opens up, I may want to take advantage of it.
