Just bought a new 20 ft. pontoon boat.I'm thinking about installing a Minn Kota DeckHand Pontoon Electric Anchor Winch. It comes prespooled with 800 lb. test nylon rope and will hold up to a 40 lb. anchor. I will be using a 20 lb. river anchor. My question is will this type of anchoring system work in the California Sacramento Delta waterways which is where i do a lot of fishing? I'm currently using the standard system with a fluke anchor and rope and chain. I do have a bad back so the electric winch would be a big help for me.
