I'm about to replace my manifolds/risers. Is there a big difference in longevity between using aftermarket parts versus mercruiser parts?
The engine is a 4.3l Mercruiser - raw water cooled in salt.
I was told the mercruiser parts are coated and that the aftermarket parts are only painted - which would explain the big cost difference. But I would like to hear all of the expert opinions from this forum.
