Now that it looks like we'll miss another direct shot from a hurricane, has anyone seen information on any tidal increases for the bay the next couple of days?

Marko, haven't seen any but my guess for our area would be the opposite. With Earl pulling out and up from us and cold front moving in from the northwest, seas should be pushing out to the East. Sounds strange but that is my guess.

We live at Thomas Point, with a weather station on roof, and right now it is low tide and the range now is about 1 foot above normal. Wind is still out of the S. at 4 to 8. High tide is midnight, and I expect an extra ft. at this point. We might get some blow-out, however it many times takes a couple days blow for that.

4:30am, and no wind.. Tide is normal, and slowly going down. Got to get to work!!

I believe this has thankfully turned into a non-even for MD. Tides were a bit high last night, and Dusty is right that there might be a bit of a blow out, but nothing we don't get Spring and Fall anyway. Winds clock around to the West for Saturday (the strongest day) and that usually doesn't 'blow out' the Bay, especially if only for a day. I think we'll head home tonight from our mini boating vacation and then be back on Sunday to see if we can't get another night in this week/weekend.

Winds out of the west? Well, that will pile the water up in our little cove. Great because I won't be stirring up mud when I go out tomorrow.

Yes, I guess there is that. It will help you compensate for what bit of blow-out there is!
