and are there any options out there?

I'm talking about desktop / online tools to map some waypoints / route to check distances. That's mostly all I used it for. It's still there for looking up marina's and such; however I don't think it has any options for charting routes.

I sure miss sitting in front of my pc and being able to chart a route for some trip I may or may not take some day, to see how many miles it is.

Any good sites you all know of to use instead? I guess google maps can be used, but would like to be on top of a real chart.
 
Can you create a route on that page? I haven’t been able to figure out how to do more than drop two points and measure the distance.

im sure it was a great add for garmin products, to get access to all of that shared data on your device, which used to require access to a computer. Guess I’m having oppostite issue, as now on my tablet or pc I don’t have access to the functionality which I previously made use of.

I have never used AC for that purpose. Just install a free nav program like OpenCPN or PolarNavy

Agreed, or spend the $14.95 and get the Navionics App which can be put on multiple devices & also gives you a login for the Web App.
They all sync up so you can plan a route via a browser and then use Phone or Tablet while underway
 
I have the navionics apps on my devices - never logged in to the web app though - will have to try that. thanks.
 
thanks for the link to charting software. I was looking for something I could use as well, just for high level planning.

We gave up on AC after we sold the boat and bought the RV.
