Anyone goint to Watch Hill this Weekend

Rob and I are here....only one other boat in the marina and I think it's Pam's, but it's empty. Not a bad ride over, great sunset.

I think they moved the WH Halloween party to this weekend.

Never been to it and won't be there this weekend either! Rob/Brian - how was the turnout?

Tides aren really low, be careful coming home. I saw a Surfside salesman take a group out today in a 40, 39 Searay, right by the pier before you can go fast, middle of the channel he ran aground. Took him like 5 minutes to free himself. This was around 12pm today.

Just a heads up for Brian, since I think he docks at Surfside.

Yep, very low this afternoon. I want to get out on my boat for a while tomorrow but planning to do it around 11am when the tide is high. I'll have to see what it looks like in the morning, may have to skip it.

Tide wasn't too bad leaving WH. I left around 1 and had about 4 1/2 feet under the boat in the basin. Yesterday Rob and I both had rudders in the mud sitting at D Dock. I've never seen it that low before. The turnout at the Halloween party was very light. I counted 19 boats in the marina and maybe 15 people on the ferry. Ken Stein and his staff did a nice job but I think they had planned on a much bigger turnout. Walter, I keep my boat up the Patchogue River. There's still a pumpout open at Steve's Gulf fuel dock near the mouth of the River...$10.

Brian,
Was fun having D dock to ourselves!!! Good weekend !

Rob

So I guess the Halloween party doesn't attract the same crowd as Columbus Day weekend!

Rob

It was a good weekend and very nice to have room to spare on D dock.

No, not quite the same crowd as Columbus Day weekend, to say the least. Given the forecast I was a bit surprised at how empty the marina was.
