We're a bit limited with only a microwave and a grill, and I'm wondering if a small portable convection oven would be a nice addition to the galley. Anyone running one of these? If so, how do you like it? We have a 6.5kW genny.

My microwave on the boat is a 3-way with micro-convection & grill all in one unit. The convection is very handy.

Wouldn't they require 240V?

Hmm, I wasn't even aware of the 3 way micros. It looks like there are cabinet mount models available that I may be able to replace our current microwave with. This might be the perfect solution.

That Sharp 820 looks sweet, there's even an option to cabinet mount it. In some of the reviews people are saying they roast whole chickens in it. This is exactly what I'm looking for, something to roast meats in when the weather is too nasty to cook outside on the grill.
Anyone know what max temp is for the convection oven? I don't see this listed in the specs.
