Just got back from AC. What a great weekend.

Other than the storms Friday night, the trip was great. Ride home today was fantastic.

The Golden Nugget has taken over the Trump Marina casino and the running of the Farley State Marina and they have started renovating the hotel/casino. The marina staff has alot to learn but all in all our group was happy.

Finally met Geg (Lady Taz) after seeing his boat there whenever I am there it seems.

For those who have never gone by boat, this is a great destination.

We may go back next month. We'll see.

How was the marina upkeep given the changing of the guard ?

Actually not bad. They have visibly replaced some bad boards in the docks and the restrooms are clean despite the crowd they get on the deck at night for the live music. Dock hands were good as always.

Anyone wanting to make a reservation should do it by phone. When I got there it was clear that the phone and on-line reservation systems are not integrated and they were messed up on boat lengths. It took a little bit of juggling but we eventually got most of our group near each other.

Good to hear, did they lower the rates? I was just on the Golden Nuget website and using the slip reservation page it looks like the rate was $3ft. I thought the last time I was there in '09 it had gone over $4.
