Autohelm ST50 Plus Tridata

Has anyone attempted to clean paddlewheel while boat in the water? I know I have a plug but don't know how easy this task is or if other parts are necessary.
The speed and log readings quit working last weekend.

I hired a diver go under each month, if not every 2 weeks to clean, scrub, replace zincs, etc.

Make sure you have a couple of replacement O rings for the tridata. They will be the same size as the ones on the plug.
Best done in a bathing suit when you swap them out .
