I have a pair of 8Ds for house batteries, 24V, which failed at just 3 years old… just like everything else these days….
In the past, I would just replace them myself… 125 lbs no big deal! But with age taking its toll, I ve been hiring help in the last few years but the guy who was supposed to show up today went MIA.
Now, this job was about getting the two 8Ds about 6’ up to the main deck from the floating dock…. Then down one level to the lower deck and down under the floor into the generator compartment.
Mission accomplished! And my back is still fine tonight. I had to setup my stairs just for that even though the dock is too narrow… but it worked
The reward? A great late afternoon / sunset ride. See post below.
Oh and this came just two days after having to replace my full size 36 in French door fridge! At least my helper showed up for that one !
