I am planning to pull my boat out for a bottom job soon and need advise. About two years ago I got into some shallow water, but was able to back out and thought I had no problem until the diver after cleaning the bottom told me the stbd. rudder was bent. It does not leak so the thru hull is not damaged. I can see in bright sunlight that it is bent about 20 degees toward the center.

Can this be straightened or should it be replaced, and if so where can I get a new one?

you ashould be able to have it straightened...we've had more severly bent ones straightened by our prop shop
