I have a Berkley 12JE attached to a 350 GM on an 18' Cimmaron Bowrider
** WOT my tach is pegged at 6000 RPM with a water speed of about 49 MPH (per my GPS)
Berkely website says it should be at 4600 RPM ** 50 MPH.
The impeller seems to be in decent shape (put my hand in the hand hole and felt the blades, minor dings, no chunks missing or major defects).
1) Is 6000 RPM too close to redline for a GM 350?
2) Should my top speed be at less than 6000 RPM?
Do I need to be concerned and where should I check if I need to be?
