Hi,
I'm looking for a good product to clean up my seat cushions (vinyl). They
re in pretty good shape, but I want them looking like new. The look dirty, like an off white, mildew look (but it's not mildew). Typical cleaners, boat wash won't get it clean.

Any ideas before I just recover them.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser followed by 303 Aerospace Protectant...

Hondaclean available from local honda motorcycle shop. best cleaner i have ever used.

Maguire's Heavy duty rubber and vinyl cleaner. I've used ths stuff after cleaning my vinyl with other products. This stuff is amazing! Makes them look like new and also reconditions the vinyl. I like Mr Clean Magic erasers for any marks on the vinyl but not for cleaning the entire cushion. Oh, I spray the Maguires on and then scrub with a nylon brush. Gets all the dirt out of the grain too.

And then keep them clean after that. It is sure a lot easier to prevent soiling or clean it up right away then to have to make it a project later!

Use the 303 on the MC Eraser instead of water. Works much better & saves the 2nd step.

Larryo- Eventually many vinyl cushion's dye will be effected by UV , sunscreen, etc. to the point no cleaner will regain the original bright white or other original color.

There are a number of aerosol spray-dye products such as Leather-magic (?)( auto parts & hw stores sell vinyl spray-dye as well) but the one example of professionally applied spray-dye I checked out was not at all impressive. I would replace(& did) before doing that on my boat's upholstery, but perhaps someone here has had good luck with the stuff?

I had the foam and upholstery completely replaced. Makes my boat look brand new!!!!

I use Spray Nine with excellent results. Buy from grocery store, not marine store....much more affordable.

Was told to use Glass Plus for daily cleaning for my Vinyl, does not contain Ammonia so it will not harm your stiching..... I've used this on my last three boats and have great looking vinyl. Was also told to use Pledge for cleaning my plastic on my curtains.... that too works great...

Make sure the Pledge you use is not the lemon flavored one. The citric acid will permanently ruin your isinglass!

try lemon "scented"... I've never drank it... lol I used a magic eraser and it did work wonders... some armorall after to give it a shine... slippery tho.. lol
