Wife and I are flying down to SE florida on Feb 11 for a one night weekend getaway from the cold in New England. We are live aboards in CT on a 41’ President trawler. We would love to rent a similar boat for the day or over night etc…. Even if the boat did not leave the dock that would be awesome. Any suggestions ? I have heard of Boatels but I have not been able to find any. We would prefer to stay on a boat over a hotel.

We did that about 4 years ago when we crossed over and visited St Augustine. Some guy had 3 or 4 boats in a marina that he listed as AirBNB. we stayed on 30ish power cat. Not sure any of his boats could leave the dock. The expierence was fine. I do remember the guy had no instructions on board for renters that might not know boats

Good luck

some of the boats on airbnb or vrbo mention that the boat can in fact leave the dock, but only with the owner / captain piloting it. VRBO is a little easier, as there is a filter for "property type" and you can select 'boat' or 'houseboat'. I don't know if airbnb has same search capability.

There is also https://www.boatsetter.com/ which is only boats and has all types of listings. Just not very many (yet?).

for $500 per night, why stay in a hotel? https://www.vrbo.com/2013477?arrival=2023-03-08&departure=2023-03-11&unitId=2577994

I remember my wife and I once rented a yacht in Miami near the dock for a few days – it was an amazing experience.
