Apologies if this has been posted before, but I'm looking to replace some boat shoes I got a few years ago. I've had the Sperry Topsiders before and they really get to stink after wearing them with bear feet. My wife got me a pair of Columbia's that look like your typical Topsider but they advertised that they would not produce foot odor and they have been excellent in that regard. They were called Techlite Anti-odor. I've searched the web for them with no luck.

Do you folks have any suggestions for a slip[ on type boat shoe that is anti-odor?

Appreciate any inout.

I'm not surprised that they stink after you let bears put their feet in them...

I have never had a "stink" problem with my Sperry shoes...

I'm a Sebago fan, and the Admiral found a product called 'No Toes' on the net, and I was really surprised that it cured foot/shoe odor in a couple days. It is a powder that only takes a very small splash.

You could always pick out any style you like best at a price that is attractive and slip in a set of odor-eaters.

... Or use their bowling-shoe-strength spray?

This is part of the reason I long ago switched from classic leather Sperry's to washable boat boat shoes I can toss in the machine evey so often. I still wear the classic style off the boat, mostly for formal occasions. Don't let this get out, but I actually polish them! :D

Flip Flops are my footwear of choice. Yes, I know open toed shoes are not the safest on the boat, but, I like them and I wear them anyway. :)

the leather inard topsiders dont seem to have the stink. i had a pair with some material on the inside and it did get the odor

the odor comes from bacteria on feet. Vinegar scrub helps some people a lot. IMO once the shoes get stinky they transfer bacteria back to the feet.
If yoy have some old smelly shoes to test you might try soaking smelly shoes in vinegar and water then rinsing and let air dry. Or a baking soda in water rinse might be better.

My brother swears by the "Columbia Drainmaker". I may give them a try this summer

Crocs. Neither bear feet or pigeon toes will stink in Crocs. As an added bonus they do not slip and slide on wet decks, or gunwhales.

Crocs, ugh.... The ugliest footwear ever made.

I've never had any trouble with LL BEAN boat shoes. They wear forever and if you want to keep them looking OK they shine up very well. Only shoes this ole retired Floridian wears.

I wear Sperry's and dont give a rats asss if they smell or not. They are comfortable and that is all that matters.

Crocs are ugly, but good on the boat. Especially for washdowns, etc.. I just gt a new pair for the upcoming summer. I use them for washing the boat, and the cars in the driveway in the summer.
The only problem I have with them is that I can't get them in half sizes.
