The operator, 4C, is the original tour boat operator to the Cays all The way to Staniel. They ve been around for about 10 years and started with a 25' skiff. Over the years they ve expanded to custom build boats approaching 50'. All outboard powered.

We ve used them over the years to transfer guests One time we had guests flying to GGT in the middle of the night and the FBO there arranged the transfer to Staniel at 3 am. No lights no radar no GPS flying over the flats, turning close to rocks in total darkness... I m glad I wasn't the one who arranged the transfer because they were scared and pissed. Naomi was flying with them and she said it was the most scary boat ride ever.

There are a dozen other operators who are gong to get under close scrutiny. They now have 50' triple outboards ribs running tours from

We drove up to that end of the island and looked over the boats that were docked. No way we were going on them.

But then we just took a tour up the Monkey River from Placencia Belize and back. Gas cans were on the deck by the outboard. While no one smoked and it didn't smell of vapors you never know.
 
sadly, a 22 y/o American girl that was onboard, had both legs amputated.
