While we are at it, we might as well re-build a thread with everyone coming back on line.....originally authored by Blood, Sweat and Beers.

The name of our boat also speaks for itself.

My wife is from Australia and the Southern Cross is the name of the constellation on their flag and is the star pattern in the upper right of the name. The Southern Cross is 4 degrees from due south and is used to locate south with a sextant in the southern hemisphere. Southern Cross is the name of a great Crosby Stills and Nash song, also popularly covered by Jimmy Buffett.

"Barefoot Dreaming", Wife is always Barefoot and Dreaming of heading out on the water every weekend. Gotta get some pics of the name.

"Almost Home" has been the name of the last two boats. When we are on the boat, we are as close to heaven as we will be for awhile. It is also handy when someone asks where I am, Almost Home.

We finally came up with the perfect name for us "Nut-n-SiMaDa" How, Si-dney(daughter), Ma-x (son), Da-na(admiral), and one guess who the Nut is?

I wanted to call our 2003 1800 LSR "Wet Dream" but the good lady refused me the pleasure. However my sister came up with this name. Apparently it suits my personality. Especially when preceeded with the word "Bad" Lol

We don't drink or party when we go out on the boat. So we always end up by our self...so Sea-clusion ended up the name of our boat .....dts

Bought her when we were 45, the "freedom" speaks for itself. We hope to upgrade to "freedom 55" some day, with 55 referring to the lenght.

The boat was already named "Nouchka" when we bought her in december 2005. We kept the name as the Admiral and me liked it.

Here is one of the first pictures I took at that time (still with the board 'A vendre'...'For sale'):
