Boat Not Ready

Okey dokey...we need something else to talk about so changing the subject...

Went to see the boat Sat. Bottom is stripped and diesel guys start work this week replacing some gaskets. Since the soda blast guy took so long to get it done, looks like it would be two weeks before I can get the boat.

Since I have to go to FL for some personal business one weekend and my daughter graduates from college the next, I put off taking it until May 22. The current plan is to go straight to Fire Island from East Rockaway.

No sense burning the fuel to get to Glen Cove and back when I can't use the boat anyway.

So I've got another month or so to wait.

What's everyone else's status?
 
WOw... sucks being u.... whos doing the diesel work ?

post when ur actually going .. maybe we'll have a Boat rally and all hook up... well except andy and dave ....

I fueled up yesterday at Sunny Harbor at SS3. I usually take Plus 89 during the season, but for the first top off of the season of 35 gals per tank I took Premium 93. I think adding the extra octane boosts the older 130 Gallons. I have been doing that each start of the season and seems to work fine. 70 X 4.35 = 304.50. I got away cheep, I normally take 150 gals.

I was Franks first customer of the day. Three boats came in while I was there. Let the season begin.!!!! I will be doing the open weekend at Kismet this Saturday. I think we also may go again the following Saturday also as that is a club planned trip.

I use Atlantic Diesel. Good guys.

The current plan is to call on that Thursday morning (5/22) and reserve at WH. Since I'll already be on the South Shore, I'm thinking this will be easier. Staying till Sunday or Monday.

I just couldn't see 7 hours round trip from where I am now at 30 gal/hr = about $875 for fuel to let it sit there for a few weeks without gettin used.

Doesn't suck that bad. Daughter graduating so tuition is done and she has a job so I feel like I'm getting a raise...:)
 
I was planning to meet you at WH that weekend but work may get in the way... I should know more in a couple weeks.

Boat is getting launched Friday, think I'm all set.

As long as the elephant doesn't continue to crap on the rug.

Gotta say, I'm really disappointed in Brad. If ever a day called for a shot girl/bikini picture post, today was it.

I was searching, but the one I have I already posted of the two girls at my Tiki bar... But Rob does not like old pics.... ;)

Some of the others that are real hot.. their men would kick my A$$ if I posted... but they are good.. Raft-ups tend to have nice photo opp's
