Boat renovation

I recently bought a boat for $50.00. The hull is in really good condition. It does not have a dash or a motor. I bought it with the plans of restoring it. After buying it and moving it I found out that it is a 1971 Glastron, 16 foot. I called around to Glastron Dealers for parts and they all told me the same thing, they said that I will not be able to find parts for a 1971 boat. My question to anybody that reads this is, is it possible to find parts that are at least compatible to this boat? Any ideas would help! Thank you.

The boat is 35 years old. Plus they didn't make very many to begin with. You'll need to learn how to fiberglass and all about marine plywood.
