A buddy and I spent the night in Old Town Sacramento and tied up at the public docks. We stayed in the Delta King and I was a little worried about my boat all night. In fact, got up at two in the morning to check it out. In the past I have seen lots of kids and folks kind of hanging out along those docks at night and worry someone with evil mind and a sharp knife could cut my lines and send my boat off on its own. Is there any product or way to secure a cable or other strong device to the boat and the dock to prevent spur of the moment mayhem. I was young once and I could just see a group of young men down there, maybe drunk and having a good time, thinking wouldn't this be fun to see this boat take off on its own in the current. I don't worry much about a break-in and leave nothing too valuable on the boat but it would really ruin my day to have pride and joy navagating the Sacramento without me on it.
