Boaters Lobbyist Group ??

As I work through the issues we are having with the county legislature I become more aware of the number of lobbyist groups there are. Almost every commercial entity has a group, Marina Owners Association, Marine Trades Association, etc. They all have strength in numbers that allow them to "direct" certain legislation. Usually at the expense of the boat owners.

Where is the lobbyist group for the boat owners???

I have been thinking about creating an assosiation of boat owners to create a lobby to protect all of OUR interests.

Your thoughts are welcome. Is there already an "effective" one in existence? If not would you be in support of one?
