Bottom paint on a RIB?

I'm getting a 12 foot Nautica RIB, with a 40 horse 4 stroke Yamaha. It will go pretty fast. I'm planning on keeping it in the water for the season (7 months or so). Should I put bottom paint on it? I don't think I've seen people bottom paint RIB's, but I'm not sure why not.
