Does anyone have any tips on places that might offer both services? We generally leave the boat in the water over the winter. Since we head south to FL come end of October for 6 months, I'd like to try this route since we need the paint job.

Plenty of places; I cant imagine too many places that do winter storage and don't offer bottom work. Your profile says Baltimore, where are you looking? On the Western Shore, you always hear good things about Weaver's Marine Service. http://www.weaversmarine.net/

Sunset Harbor has a deal that labor for bottom painting is free, but that seems to only be for people who do annual storage; not sure if they even do winter only storage, but I would guess they do, and would still give a discount on bottom painting http://sunsetharbor.com/boat-storage/

Thanks, Alk. Before we moved the boat over to Baltimore from Rock Hall 5 years ago, we had all work done at Tolchester, who are so good we kept going back over after the westward move to Baltimore. It's just too much of a PITA to drive over with a car, drive back, motor over with the boat, drive back to Baltimore and then do it all over again when it's time to pick her up.....

I've heard plenty good about Weaver's, so we'll check them out and the other as well....

I have used both and like them both. Most of my work has been at Weavers though and I really like what they do.

If ya want to come Annapolis way, we lift at Jabins Marina, on Back Creek. I am painted by Jim Deans' yacht services, who also offer great detail work. They are part of Jabins', so a close eye is kept on your storage. Jabins is usually more exp. for lifting and blocking, but they really know what they are doing. They are launching and retr. mil. sail boats twice a week, for races, so lots of practice. btw Deans' shrinks also if needed.
