bouys

Was out on kayak in Merrick yesterday. Gorgeous day with flat water. No bouys out yet other than permanent poles.
 
Hey Rob, I was at the boat yard today and the bouy tender was out putting some bouys in. Thought you might want to know. Gary
 
FYI... Town of Oyster Bay on the South Shore still has all their bouys high and dry at John J. Burns Park.

Rob, I saw a bouy in east bay like you would go to Haunts Creek.I also saw the tender out south of the gas dock over by the bend going to Merrick Bay.He was riding around like he was checking depths.Had to leave after that but I will be back tomorrow and tuesday. I am going in one of those days.I will keep you posted.Gary

Not there, sorry to say. No activity at all.Tender must have been out for a pleasure cruise.

On Sunday I noticed that Lindenhurst Cut had buoys, but none were in going east / west until just east of the RM bridge. Babylon cut has buoys but the north head buoys are still not in.

NO THEY AREN'T! at least not quite...

I just made the run from Wantagh to Linderhurst this am and the Amityville East-West cut was a bear without the bouys. Thank goodness for GPS!

I did notice that the north-south cut had them in but the north channel was not marked.

Yes of course he had HELP......

So those are the bouys in question MERRICK ...EAST BAY and west....

I saw along the wantagh was missing ... but thats no big deals its a straight run......

( now watch i just shot myself is the foot for the weekend .. )
