I need to find replacement courtesy lights for my 1987 Voyager 28. They are flush mount, rectangular in shape 3-1/2" X 1-3/4". They have a small rocker on/off switch alongside a round light with difuser lens. The only markings are on the light ring and says "Jensen".

Does anyone know where I may find replacements or suitable substitutes?

Thanks.

If you locate them, or ones that fit, please let me know as I need to replace them in my 28 Mariner.

My neighbor last year had replacement ones that were not factory and did NOT look good.

Thanks,

Jim

Quid Pro Quo. If you find something let me know too. :)

google courtesy lights to see the zillions of styles.. I have never been able to find the semi eliptical hooded step lights used on my 1997 Carver though. Similar to a Barnegat product.

i´ve had good luck contacting carver. give them your hin and they´ll tell you the mfg, part number, and possibly where you can purchase it. you may have to make another call to the mfg or distributor, though.

Yes, I have done that but haven't heard back from them. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

Thanks for the tip though, I appreciate it.

When BoatFix doesn't have things, I've had luck here. They buy up all old stock from the boat mfgrs.

Purchased IMTRA lighting 6 years ago that have held up very well. Maybe you can find something on their website that fits your shape / needs.

Were these switched at the light?

Yes, switched at the light. There's a photo in the "Engines, Electrical" forum that Capt. Bill posted for me.

Found the components at a local Marine Surplus. The round light portion as well as a compatible mini rocker switch. I took it all apart, cleaned the back plate with a little Brasso and steel wool and reassembled with the new parts. Works like a charm and looks brand new.
