Anyone have any feedback on the Brielle Yacht Club?

Thanks

We stayed there years ago. Nice place. Get ready to rock and roll in the morning when all the fishing boats go out. the restaurant (Sand bar) was a decent place as well. Some nice boats in that marina.

Nice wide docks and well maintained. We stopped there for fuel last fall and the current coming out away from the fuel dock was VERY strong. Being the fall they were short staffed and we had no help getting lines in which made it extra challenging.

Thanks guys.

Looks like my club will rendezvous there weekend after July 4.

While delivering my boddy's boat we stayed there for one night. We were awaken by boat traffic around 5am. Tidal change is pretty big as well (over 3' easy).

The good thing is that Brielle is a party town and BYC is right in the center of the action. You're surrounded by number of good restaurants. A must visit place is Ship Wreck, it has great food. It has a great mix of smart casual atmosphere and excellent food. We keep coming back to the restarant periodically.

We just had our rendezvous at the BYC.

Agree with all that has been said here plus the following:

We had 9 boats from 28 to 55 ft.

They do not have sufficent dock help. Pretty much everyone was left to tie up their own boats.

Several boats had power issues at their slips. Either not enough power or none at the power pole. One boat was moved 3 times and another twice.

At the low, one of the big boats touched bottom on the way in.

The dock fingers are fixed and about a foot lower than the main dock. High tide was over the finger by about 5 inches so we had to wade across it to get on and off our boat. Luckily this did not occur in the dark.

The current runs very fast in the river and boats completely ignore the 5mph zone so you are rocking often.

The Manasquan inlet is narrow and there were rough conditions there on Friday and a significant chop on Sunday. The boat traffic was crazy on Sunday and in the middle of this maelstrom, a scuba diver with a death wish pops up right in the inlet.

We had a great time despite the challenges but I don't know if we would go back. To the marina's credit, they gave us an unsolicited discount for our trouble.
