OK, this may be the stupidest post I have made. This seems simple enough but the results do not make sense to me.
First time calcluating GPH on our 'new to us' boat. Actually, first time ever calculating GPH.
Twin carburated 7.4s. Approx 20 hours on each (long blocks).
We have logged every tripcruise since the fill up.
Filled up 2 months ago, 93 octane.
Filled up again yesterday, 93 octane.
19 hours on each engine per the dash engine meters.
163 gallons to fill back up.
So, if I do the math using 19 hours I come up with 8.5 gallons per hour, which is impossible given the numbers I have seen posted on here for these engines.
What am I missing in my calculation?
