New to the boards... tied up in Cape May Courthouse (Bayway Marina), transplanted from Locust Point Marina, MD. Could I ask a few of the more "seasoned" boaters in the area for destinations in the Cape May area to dock and eat, maybe entertain the kiddies. My wife and I go down every weekend, we have a property in a campground nearby. We will usually have children with us during the day (neices and nephews), but it would be just me and my honey at night... any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The Lobster House in Cape May has a floating dock at their schooner. You can tie there if you find room. The place is kid friendly. Lighthouse Point Marina in Wildwood is a good place, it's right across from Schooner Island Marina. Schooner Island should have some courtesy dockage. Ask Big John on the fuel dock, he doesn't bite, really! There's a few places nearby. Not too sure what's going on at Two Mile Inn, they had some problems a week or two ago, but they'll get it fixed. I'm sure there are a few more, that's just the one's I've been to. Welcome to this forum and enjoy Cape May County.

Just realized you're on the Del. Bay side. You can go out and up to the Maurice River. On the port side I think there are is one or two places to tie up for lunch etc. Don't stay late, the gnats and mosquitos can be bad! Also, watch out, Delaware Bay can get rough.
