Captree

Whenever I cruise past Captree I often say it's a nice place that get's very little boat transient usage. I did stop there once with my small boat and I think i just laid against one of the docks and there was a cop and he said I could stay for a bit.

On the captree park website they list transient dockage from dawn to dusk. Where is it? Is it deep?

Be nice to dock there, walk the dock, check out the fishing catches. Maybe even eat dinner in the Captree Cove Restaurant there which I hear is pretty good.

Anyone ever dock there? Where?

Its either in the fishing basin where the charter boats are .... or along the floaters where the boat ramp is ... Thats ur only choice... I dont know which they are speaking of ... The ramp area is small and the gas dock is there.... I wouldnt go inside the basin( my 2 cents ) Alot wasted resources we have

I may call restaurant. Satellite video shows some small boats in fishing area.
Be a nice asset to use.

Maybe if I vote for trump he will turn it into a hotel and yacht club! Lol

I haven't been past there in a while but the transient dockage used to be along the inside of the outer dock/breakwater. A friend went there once and had his hull scratched by bolts sticking out of the pilings. That was a long time ago but if you do try it be careful.

They have a great ramp for trailer boats there, haven't been there since 2001. That building there was a whole bunch of nothing, not really sure what it is.
