carb rebuilder

Anyone had dealings with flying fish carburetors (on the web?).

I assume it would be a better rebuild than if I bought the $25 kit and did it myself?

$238 for one for my Mercruiser 260.

Sorry , I don't know anything about Flying Fish other than the ones that have bounced off the deck.

But if you decide to rebuild it your self and it is a Q-jet, remember the "sticky" at the top of this forum to the excellent Q-jet rebuild video series:

This is the shop most of the shops here use. They handle all marine type carbs.

I used them to replace the carbs on my Mercruiser 5.0 liter engines. They were easy to deal with and the new carbs work fine. They did want to short me part of my core charge, but after discussing it with them, they sent the rest of the money.
