We actually did it. We trailered the boat from MD to Florida (thanks Mark for meeting us and giving your help and a ride to storage). We're having an "interesting" time. Can't post more now as our sat phone only has service for a bit at a time. But, you can all track our progress at:

http://www.undock.com

(this is proof that those new SPOT units work really well).

We look forward to the next Chesapeake BoaterEd raft ups and hope to see many friend (new and old) there.

Now, back to dealing with the ocean!

Kurt,

If I'm following your website correctly you are in the Bahamas at West End now, correct? Its a great cruise across the GS when the weather cooperates. If you have the time during your crossing its kinda fun to drop a couple of lines rigged with squid or other suitable bait and troll along any weed lines or other floating debris in the blue water and see if you can bring up some dolphin for dinner.

Now I just made myself more jealous! Enjoy and stay safe!

Thanks Mike. I guess I'll let this thread die and stick to the one in ATC (I thought this would be a better place, but whatever). The crossing wasn't quite smooth enough for us to fish, but we've seen some BIG ones here in Treasure Cay people caught today.

We'll be up in Still Pond before you now it. I'm getting real used to boating in no water. I think you've got 2 feet at your dock? That's half a foot more than we need so we'll be happy to pay you a visit!
