closed cooling system (new owner)

I am going to winterize my boat this weekend. this is my first boat this size. I want to make sure the closed cooling system is ready. Getting the internal portion is no problem. I am not sure where the intake to the heat exchanger is located. I believe it is in the outdrive if so what is the best way to blow it out or do I need to put antifreeze in it somehow. I have a 87 Carver Montego 27ft with twin mercruisers with alpha 1 outdrives.

Put muffs on the outdrive and run antifreeze through until you see it coming out the exhaust.
