Coming Soon To a Boat Near You!

The toilet is sitting out in the open all the time??

No, it is under the cushion she is sitting on with an air tight cover. You remove the cushion to access the toilet. The seat can be legally occupied as a passenger seat as well. Not an unusual set up in a small aircraft.

Seems like a lot of effort to replace a curtain or manual sliding door.

It's not a self deploying lav. It's a self deploying partition. Big deal

I don't really see the benefit for a boat verses the likely cost. The person buying the boat, so equipped, could likely afford a longer wider vessel. On a smaller plane it makes more sense, but the person on this jump seat must feel like 3rd class...

I can see it in one of these mid sized center consoles with a limited cabin below.

Sea Ray and other manufacturers do a great job integrating porta-potties and even vacuflush heads in their bow riders and other smaller boats.

Coon Ass version 1.0.

Harlan had one in his SR. I think he moved it to his RV.

Hmmmmm! Hey Greg, where does the contents go after you flush...on a small plane that is...

Good question, some use a "honey bucket" and other vacu flush to a holding tank that is drained by ground equipment. The "honey bucket" version usually has an air tight lid that prevents odors from arising.

The "honey bucket" version is the bane of co-pilots who are usually assigned the duty to empty and clean it. On one airplane I flew, a King Air, we kept the bucket double lined with a plastic bag so we could simply close the bag and lift it out.

As an aging guy, I fit the example of the guy whose car has a trailer with a porta-potty. I can't imagine getting on a boat and going out for a few hours cruising/fishing/drinking beer, etc, etc without a head. Having recently sold my boat which had all accommodations I think I would enjoy a party boat configuration that could handle 6-8 visitors with a need for more than a pee-bucket. Why has this not been addressed by boat manufacturers. . . or has it? Would appreciate info if it has.

I've seen both bow riders and pontoons with vacu flush systems. So I think the issue has been addressed.
