Comments on 4160/4260?

[Prospective]

This boat has caught my eye. Any comments on it with diesels in particular. Seems like mostly volvo power. I am assuming these are both the same 44ft long boat like the 37,38,4080 are the same hull. I like the seperate midcabin and the cockpit set-up. At some point they went to a forward swept radar arch w/ hardtop from the reverse deal which looks a little funky. The 2001/2002 vintage might be in my budget at some point.

4160/4260 and now 4460 are the same hull. A very nice boat though no matter what the name.

Thanks rommer. I like Regals and still really like the XX80 boats. But I waffle on the sedan vs. express thing from time to time.

We have looked at this model regal a bunch. My wife really likes the layout and I must confess, if in the 42ish size range for an express, this boat would most likely be on the top of our list. Quality is good, layout flows well, looks good. Mid cabin is nice.

Rommer is correct! The 4260 now the 4460 was never a 38 or 40. They are different boats, similar in layout but much roomier. If you choose one make sure it has diesels, the base boat came with gas and it will be very difficult to sell when you need to.

There is an 03' near me that the dealer is ASKING 179k. That is a steel.. I have an 09' with IPS and it is a great boat. Love the liveability and design. She also rides and handles with the best of them.

I've had my 2001 4160 for three seasons now and it's turned out to be a very usable boat. The interior layout is good and usable, the cockpit is great for cruising & entertaining and the equipment is first rate. Accessibilty for routine maintenance is very good, much better than Sea Rays of this size in my view.
