I'm still wondering what is/was supposed to fill the slot over the companionway forward of the bridge on my Carver Santego 3467 (89). I have a snap-on plastic canvas (worse for the wear), but it appears there's a space for something more substantial there. I like to keep it covered most of the time to keep rain from soaking the bridge carpeting and upholstery.

Thanks!

There were 4 or 5 plaxtic panels that slid into the tracks on either side of the opening creating a "hard" filler for the walk-thru. They were kind of a pain, but were hard and not a snap on piece of canvas. I don't think Carver has them available any longer.

My 91 Santego has the plastic slide in panels. They overlap and work well as far as keeping water out. You could probably fabricate something functionally similar from lexan. If you need, I could take a couple pics . . .

Hi, Mike

Thanks! That explains a lot. I would appreciate a photo or two.
