Forgive me but I'm basically reposting the same question regarding a compression issue on my Port side. 1984 Crusader 350CID (270 hp FWC about 800 hrs)My #5 was/is a little low on compression. In a nut shell, seems like my throttles are a little of when I get up on a plane. Port side seems to be working too hard. I have new distributors but only timed to 8deg BTDC at idle. I'm thinking this has more to do with my load more than a slight drop in compression on one cylinder. So..two questions....
1. New electronic Delco distributors. What's the best way to time it up for best performance under load?
2. How difficult is it to isolate/determine if I've got a valve issue on the one cylinder? I've heard of a "wet" compresssion test.....
Bueller????Bueller????
Thanks in advance.....
