Last Thursday (8/13) we left on the 4:30 bridge for run to Erie Pa. (43nm). We were joined by another couple and it was their first extended stay on a boat. They loved it and all went well.

We decided to anchor overnight Thursday night. Lake Erie doesn't offer very many anchorages so this was our first time on the hook over night. We enjoyed it.

We have been to Presque Ilse quite a few times - it is over a 100 mile run for us, over 10 hours at our trawler cruise speed. Great anchorage, we love it there.

We will be there a couple times this year. It will be our first stop on our 2-week cruise in July where we will ultimately end up in the Finger Lakes. We also plan on going back in Aug for Erie Days again. For Erie Days I think we will do the same, anchor Thursday night and spend Friday and Saturday at Commodore Perry YC
