Was on the water overnight Saturday and had my switch on the second battery. Was running one 12v cabin light. It lasted maybe a half hour and then started to get dim. Hit the key and no turn over. I shut the light down, and then in the morning started it on the first battery, let it warm up, then turned it off and put the switch on both and started it back up. Battery charged and later could start the boat on second battery alone. I am going to check the battery to see if its bad.
My question is this. Does that one bulb pull so much amperage that it would drop my house battery that fast? Secondly, I want to test if I have a stray current being pulled while nothign is turned on. What do I set my multi tester to- when I hook it to the battery? I have no clocks or radios with memory or anything pulling power.
