day trip tomorrow to Sausalito..advice needed

I spoke with the harbor master at Sausalito yacht harbor over the weekend. SHe never got back to me with a confirmed guest slip. SHould I just try to wing it and call them on the radio once i get close?

Im going to Sausalito from Martinez. It should take 1 hour each way at cruising speed.
 
Advice....Bring money....LOTS and LOTS of MONEY.

To paraphrase Robin Williams on the 'Tour de SFO': Welcome to Sausalito. I just wanted to welcome everybody, especially these people who are wearing tuxedos to a bike race.
 
There's a number of marinas up and down the way. I think Schoonmaker has an end tie on their public dock if you get into a jamb.
 
I hope we see some pictures of your adventure...... When will you make a cruise up into the Delta?

Unfortunately we aborted the trip. It was a bit too rough on Carquinez Strait for my wife so I could only assume it was going to get worse on San Pablo so we turned around and went back to Martinez.

This summer Im planning on having an overnight trip to Sausalito, overnighter to Hogback Statepark as well as the Riverboat on the delta. Maybe one more trip to Angel Island and Tiburon.
