I have a Lowrance 3500 depth sounder on my boat.
Lately it has been acting up, and I am at a loss as to how to fix it. Sometimes when I turn the finder on it blinks until it gets a reading from the bottom, and then displays the correct depth. Other times it will show a shallow reading even though I know it is much deeper where I am. ie,leaving my marina. If I turn it off and then back on again, it will work properly.Once I enter shallower water (6-8ft). It goes back to reading less than what is really under my boat. I know for sure what is under me,like the entrance to my marina.
Any thoughts? Could I have a loose connection somewhere?
