I have the same engines, use Rotella 15W-40 oil in them, 30 weight oil in transmissions. The best prices on Fleetguard filters is on-line at Filterbarn.com. Don't cheap out on filters.
pull out the manual for your engines and check the oil specification. it is usually a two letter APC rating. make sure what ever brand of oil you purchase at a min meets that spec #. you can google APC specs and see if the oil you would like to purchase meets or exceeds the spec from Cummins on your year build.
i'm assuming your engine is a 6CTA and most have hi bypass lube filter. Fleetgaurd is OEM and probably the easiest to know it is the right type. go back to your manual and ck the filter #'s.
if you don't have a manual, find a local dealer and give them your engine serial #'s to get one. lots of good info you will need going forward.
if you are new to the 6CTA, google tony Athens and aftercoolers. in the past, this has been the Achilles heal of that motor. lots of good info on another website on this engine.
