need a new dock box lost mine during hurricane any recommendation on long island thanks

Wait until Freeport Marine has their weekend sale in the spring.

I need a new one too but was thinking of just going with the cheap Rubbermaid thing this time.
Last one was pricey. Lid didn't stay up and latch broke.
They seem to get brittle and faded in sun by me.

Really, Freeport Marine? What do they usually go for during their sale?

Im in the market for a dock box and a slip for my 17ft

I've had a Sunmaid Suncast unit for probably 10 years... still great althugh the dark green lid has faded a bit.. Lowes or HD has them.

We had one at our house for about 10 years that we got at probably Target or some other discount store....made by Suncast. Worked great and not expensive.

Freeport runs a weekend sale on everything in store. I don't remember percentages but they were decent. You can also bring in internet pricing and they will match on some things. West in Island park will as well.

If they can come close, I will buy from the local guys.

I've got a Rubbermaid deck box by the pool, a small shed for the kids bikes, and a horizontal shed that I keep the garbage cans in. They hold up great and are easy to keep clean. Pretty easy for someone to break in to if they want, but I don't know how much more secure the dock boxes are.
I picked up a great deal on a Black Friday Sale at Lowe's on a Suncast Horizontal to keep the new portable generator in. It's still new, but looks like it will hold up as well as the rubbermaid stuff does.

Ha Ha, just take a boat out to the bay, you will find tons of them with some good crap in them :)

If you go with the Rubbermaid you might want to use a caulking gun to spread some silicone in the slots before snapping the pieces together. It'll probably hold up better to the wind/storms close to the bay.

I bought this one from home depot in the beginning of the season.

Made by Suncast, very big almost 5ft long.

I am happy with it, very sturdy, comes with the pistons on each side to keep the top open, keeps rainwater out.

I did replace all the hardware with SS after one of the screw heads sheared off on the hinge.

I screwed it down to the dock, made it through sandy no issues...

No warping after 1st season.

I like the wicker look, it stands out from all the rubbermaid boxes too.

Only $139.00
