Roughly 65-70nm to Manasquan (sp?) inlet.
Keep a sharp eye for debris on the East River. If you time an outgoing tide, the current will be with you and it can be significant. It could be a little choppy in hellgate but stay close to center and you will be fine. Monitor channel 13 for the commercial traffic.
Pick a calm day and you will have a beautiful ride.
