Since they had to postpone their cruise down the Yukon River, they chose Harding Lake, Salcha, AK to put the boat in the water and enjoy a few days before storing her in Fairbanks.

In Fairbanks after being towed 3000 miles!

I sure am relieved the trailer made it OK. Looks like Flutterby is happy and running fine in that cold water. :D

Thanks Liz for sharing the photos, Charlie did great getting her ready for the journey, Doug did great getting new brakes for the trailer in Sac and safely hauling her to Alaska, you did great letting go of Flutterby and sharing the journey and destination photos with us. I am sure Dora Dee has lots of good times in her future with your wonderful son and his family.

What is the water temp there for the swimming pic? I would be surprised if it was over 60 F. Brrrrr....

Thanks DeltaDawg. Some doors close so other doors can open..... I'm waiting for that open door!

Ken, I have no idea, but I would never get my big toe in that water!!!! She was born and raised in Nome. I guess she is used to it.

Liz,

I bet it puts a smile on your face seeing new family memories being made on the Dora Dee. Thanks for posting and allowing us to be part of the journey. Very cool!!
