I'm looking for opinions on both Dredge Harbor and Riverside marinas. Which do you prefer and why? I visited Dredge Harbor yesterday. One of the proprietors gave me a very nice walkthrough of their facilities and a lot of information on pricing and options. I walked away happy, but being an absolute novice at this I don't know what I should be looking for and asking.

Any insights on the plusses and minuses of both marinas would be appreciated. I'm planning to visit Riverside next weekend, but would like to be a little more educated about what to look for before I go.

Thanks in advance.

More info needed. What size boat, kids pets wife,

They are both very nice marinas, dredge has a pool, riverside doesn't. docks at riverside are wood and I think nicer. both have restaurant on site, riverside's has a bar. Both have pluses and minuses.
See you on the water
Tom

Thanks Pacemakertom,

Bayliner 285. No kids. No pets. I'm looking for a home; somewhere I won't have to worry when I'm not around...I'm somewhat of a security freak. Paranoid? Me? No.

I also don't want to get rooked on slip fees, and extras. A friendly and accomodating atmosphere and staff are equally important to me.

Anything I need to really worry about at either marina?

Dredge has the owner leaving on the premises.
Riverside has people around 24/7 but no owners.
dredge may be the best bet, check docks electric, water and parking. Again you cannot go wrong with either place

Thanks Tom. I appreciate the information. It's always good to have independent corroboration of an impression. It looks like Dredge will be my home, but I'm going to check out Riverside anyway, just to be sure.

Thanks again.
