Trying to pinpoint the source of the oil leak. Took pics with my digital camera of the underside of the motor and the leak is coming from an area that I can't seem to reach. It's either that the oil pan has developed a leak from either rot or gasket failure or it may be related to the remote oil filter setup because the leak appears to be coming from the end where the hoses attach to the oil pump on the engine. Of course that's got to be in an area beneath the engine not easily accessable. I plan on taking another look at things this weekend but I was wondering if anyone has had any type oil leak problems related to the remote setup? If it matters, it's a 1995 Mr=ercruiser 4.3LX.
