Hello all. My first time here. Great forum. I have a question about using epoxy for a repair. I have a wood hull that needs a temporary patch for the summer ( what's left of it ). I have a 1" x 1" x 2" hole in the keel that needs repair. I was hoping to fill it with West epoxy. I need to fill at 1 sitting since I am not able to sand the layers for a mechanical bond. I'm a little concerned about laying epoxy that thick in 1 sitting. Does anyone have experience doing this ? any suggestions or advice ? Would using the slow cure help ? Any help would be appreciated.
