Hi all,
I'm closing on a Catalina 36 right now, and I just completed the survey. It was noticed during the survey that an expensive item, which was on the listing, in fact is not there. Being at the survey stage, I have agreed with a buying price.
The broker is now hinting that this was a "mistake" on the listing. So, what options do I have? I know I can technically walk away from the contract because I am not satisfied, but I feel that the selling price should be reduced because I obviously planned for this equipment to be on the boat, and I would need to purchase an equivalent replacement. Or do I have to believe the seller that this was an honest mistake??
Has anyone ever experienced this?
Cheers,
Dan
