Fastrack vs Oceantrack Hull

My 2665 has the new Oceantrack hull and handles like a dream especially in rough water.

I have found a 2001 2860 with the fastrack stepped hull that I may be interested in.

How does everyone feel about this configeration and does anyone know why Regal changed.

I think it had something to do with a possible lawsuit. However, I love my FasTrac. Handles like a dream, but it does take a bit of a learning curve--you're running on bubbles! The rear end can get a little "squirley"
