Down on the Monterey Bay, we're seeing our July pattern of fish. Schools of 4~6' long Sea Bass are finning around the kelp off Capitola. Large groups of Silver Salmon are chasing bait in close around Santa Cruz and Cap. The Halibut are in.

This is normal for July, so very rare for May. At least we don't have to drive so far for fish.
 
Sounds promising. Not sure if I should go down there for a few days or wait to see what happens up here. Guess I better get the little boats trailer ready just in case.
 
They probably ran down there to get away from whale invasion in the delta!!!!!! Good fishing, guys.
